In computer systems, having sufficient infrastructure, the ability to use institutional and practical knowledge in this field in computer systems, the ability to identify, define, and solve problems in computer systems; to develop the ability to select and apply appropriate methods and techniques for this purpose.

The ability to work effectively individually and in multidisciplinary teams, self-confidence in taking responsibility, the ability to access information, conduct resource research, and use databases and other information sources for this purpose, the awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning; the ability to follow developments in science and technology and continuously renew oneself, and to train individuals who can impart knowledge and skills to society in changing world conditions, who possess universal thoughts and values, and who respect the culture of the country and the world.
History
The Computer Programming Program was established in 1997 within the Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Gölhisar Vocational School of Sciences and started its associate degree education in the 1997-1998 academic year. Since its establishment, it has had nearly 600 graduates. Currently, 4 teaching staff members are working in our program.
Acquisitions
• Possesses knowledge and skills in a field built upon the competencies acquired in general or vocational secondary education and supported by courses, application tools, and equipment above the secondary education level, and demonstrates an understanding of the basic concepts in that field.
• Can effectively identify, collect, and use the necessary data for solving well-defined problems in the field of Computer Technologies and Programming; demonstrates the ability to use theoretical knowledge, manual and/or intellectual skills required in practical applications.
• Can clearly explain designs and applications related to the field of Computer Technologies and Programming to colleagues, superiors, and the individuals and groups served, and can work in a team.
• Demonstrates the ability to learn independently and apply what has been learned in the field of Computer Technologies and Programming.
• Demonstrates the ability to identify and seek solutions to unforeseen problems in studies related to the field of Computer Technologies and Programming.

Infrastructure Facilities
The Department of Computer Technologies has 5 computer laboratories, each with 30 computers. Additionally, we have the necessary IT devices for each course. Within our infrastructure facilities, our courses are conducted practically. Our department continuously updates computer features and IT devices by following innovations.

The Computer Programming Program was opened at Gölhisar Vocational School in 2003. The program was established to meet the technological needs of the region.
Students who successfully complete the program receive the title of ‘Computer Programming Technician’.
Admission and Registration Conditions
Within the framework of the regulations determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) of Turkey, student admission to this program is carried out through the university entrance exam organized by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).
After students submit their academic program preferences to the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), students are placed in the relevant program based on the scores they obtain in the university entrance exam.
Newly enrolling formal education (first) students and first education students who are within the normal duration of their program and renewing their registration do not pay a contribution fee/tuition fee.
· However, students who cannot graduate at the end of the normal duration of education (4 semesters) pay the contribution fee/tuition fee determined by the Council of Ministers for each academic year.
· Students who are at the graduation stage and only have an internship left do not pay a contribution fee/tuition fee for the internship.
· Newly enrolling second education students pay the contribution fee/tuition fee determined by the Council of Ministers for each academic year.
· Second education students who rank in the top 10% in their program for each semester pay the contribution fee/tuition fee determined by the Council of Ministers for each academic year.

In our program, 4 teaching staff members with industry experience and academic careers are working. They strive to convey up-to-date information and practical skills to students.
Education Content
The language of instruction is Turkish, and the program, which has a duration of 2 years, provides education according to the formal education model, consisting of 4 semesters (terms) including fall and spring. YÖK courses are delivered through distance education methods, and program courses are conducted in classroom environments and computer laboratories within the Vocational School building.
· A 30-day internship application is mandatory in the program.
The Computer Programming Program offers students fundamental and advanced knowledge and skills in a wide range of computer science fields. The program content includes the following topics:
Basic Computer Sciences: Topics such as computer hardware, operating systems, data structures, and algorithms.
Programming Languages: Theoretical and practical education on widely used programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python.
Software Development Techniques: Topics such as software engineering principles, software testing, and quality assurance.
Database Management: Applied courses on database design, SQL queries, and database management systems.
Project Management: Topics such as software project management processes, project planning, and tracking.
Employment Opportunities for Graduates
Graduates of the program can work in public or private sector information processing centers, computer sales companies, and technical services related to web design, programming, system installation, maintenance, and repair.
They can find job opportunities as software, web, application, and mobile program developers in software companies, information processing support staff, technical staff in maintenance and repair units in all businesses, technical staff in computer service businesses, data entry staff in public institutions, information processing support staff, support staff in automation systems in factories, site managers on company websites, site managers and support staff in internet companies, and graphic designers in advertising agency companies.
Additionally, they can work as paid teachers in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education or in private schools and colleges.
According to Article 7 (e) of the Higher Education Law No. 2547 and Article 45 (e) added by Law No. 4702, students who successfully complete the program can continue to the following undergraduate departments through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) corresponding to their branch.
